I began working as a pediatrician in 2008.   I love what I do.  Dr. Gable's Bookshelf grew out of my enjoyment of listening to books and my long commute.  As a way to share the knowledge I have gained, I started writing book "reviews" on some of my favorite pediatric related reads.  I share these with my patients...and now, with you.  Here is the first in a series of articles I will share which I hope you will find useful and fun!
