Tonight we celebrated a soon to arrive baby in our family. A sprinkle of sorts. A small sprinkle. Almost like a misting. Just immediate family, only girls and you needed to be a sister, mother or sister- in- law of the babies Mom or Dad to attend.
My husband’s brother and his wife, Kelley, are expecting #2. Kelley’s Mom and I equally LOVE party planning. Even though it is a small gathering, she could not resist incorporating a theme. I agree, it is essential. She asked me to make the cake topper. So, I did.
The theme…Baby It’s Cold Outside. Cute right? Here we go, let’s celebrate this cute, cute soon to arrive snowflake:)
Here is the Pinterest inspiration picked by the Kelley’s Mom…
Here is my Cricut design…
Practice round… in different papers and colors…yes, they are similar so it is hard to tell. One is very light gray, the second off white shimmer and the 3rd is a very light shimmer green.
We went to see Frozen II (SO GOOD!!) yesterday and my Mom joined us. Since I was there by myself with the kids, I convinced my Mom to drive to Michael’s with us after the movie and sit in the car with the kids so I could quickly and efficiently run in and grab fun card stock. Mom’s are the BEST!
Here’s the options…from left to right…snowflake embossed white, silver textured, silver sparkle, gold sparkle, off-white sparkle.
I decided on textured silver for the front.
…And a very light green shimmer for the back.
Plus, a few extra snowflakes just in case:)…
Tada! I am really happy with how it turned out. The cake made by my mother-in-law was delicious and everyone had a fabulous time.
Check out this radiant Mom-to-Be!
Kelley’s Mom even made favors.
And of course we needed a card. I was starting to get in a pinch for time. The card I picked is a Cricut Access card. I only needed to modify the size. These adorable little baby feet always get me. Cheers to another Cricut adventure:)! Cheers to Baby Gable #2!!
